Skip the pricy helicopter tour and instead opt to drive in at the South rim and take the park bus to Hermits Rest just before sunset (remember to check times for the last bus back). Enjoy what will no doubt be one of the most spectacular sunsets of your life, away from the crowds, still and silent. Magic.
